The Information Regulator is once again attempting to stop the Basic Education Department from publishing matric results in newspapers. Recently, the Gauteng High Court handed down a ruling stating that the publication of matric results using only examination numbers doesn’t violate SA’s privacy laws. Regulator’s chairperson Adv. Pansy Tlakula elaborates.
