Cotswold Way Walk – Ep6: Dowdeswell to Leckhampton Hill

Описание: The Cotswold Way – a truly beautiful National Trail stretching just over 100 miles. It begins in the charming market town of Chipping Campden, meanders south through the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and finishes in the historic City of Bath.

Join me on this series every Sunday as I set out to walk and film every single step of this stunning trail, sharing the entire journey with you from start to finish.

Part 6: Dowdeswell to Leckhampton Hill – 3.04 miles (4.89 km)

Starting from Dowdeswell, we’ll wander through the enchanting Lineover Wood, a semi-natural broadleaved woodland filled with ancient large-leaved lime trees and majestic heritage beeches. The trail then takes us on a steady climb to Wistley Plantation before leading over open farmland and descending toward Seven Springs, a site some believe to be the true source of the River Thames.

From here, the path climbs once more onto Charlton Kings Common, where we’ll be treated to breathtaking views over Cheltenham and the Severn Vale. Finally, we’ll follow the escarpment to Leckhampton Hill, home to the striking rock formation known as the Devil’s Chimney.

This section offers 902 feet (275 metres) of ascent and 344 feet (105 metres) of descent, blending woodland serenity with panoramic vistas.

I use Davinci Resolve Studio 19 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to YouTube. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.
