Zelensky Meets UK PM Burnham as Britain Accelerates Air Defence for Ukraine | Times Now World

Описание: British Prime Minister Andy Burnham pledged to accelerate deliveries of British-made air defence systems to Ukraine after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at 10 Downing Street in London on Wednesday. Burnham condemned recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, offered condolences to those who had lost loved ones and reaffirmed Britain’s commitment to supporting Kyiv. He also said ministers had been asked to explore additional ways to assist Ukraine. Zelensky thanked the British government and public for their continued backing, saying Ukraine remained ready for a ceasefire and dialogue to end the war. He described the latest Russian attacks as an escalation rather than an energy ceasefire and highlighted the importance of cooperation on air defence, intelligence and other security matters. Zelensky also referred to issues involving Starlink and intelligence cooperation with the United States. The meeting came amid renewed Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure and international discussions over a possible energy ceasefire.
