The engine of my Jeanneau Arcachonnais has multiple problems;
1 burned outlet valve, a new one is being made.
2 the thermostathouse is empty! but where to get the original parts?
3 the drainplug is rusted shut, I need a 15 to 20 cm long drill.
4* the crankshaft produces a weird 'boink' 10-20 degrees apart, as if it is hitting something on the inside. Reseaching any further, means lifting the engine out of its bay and removing flywheel and casing :-(
Good news is, that the inverter looks very nice and adjustments are okay.
UPDATE; the 'boink' is caused by axial play in the crankshaft. Because of the camshaft held fixed in position by the valve springs, the driving toothwheel on the crankshaft causes the crankshaft to move forwards or backwards length-wise (axial), when rotated manually clock & anti-clock wise. That is why the sound appears in every position but only when moved by hand. Cause the engine is on a 23 degree angle downwards to the propellor, this axial play is no problem (yet).
