Welcome to Tim’s Reef, the UAE’s most famous and exposed reef break — shallow, powerful, and not for the faint of heart. Shot 100% POV with a GoPro Hero 7 Black on June 7, 2025, this raw clip captures an unfiltered look at what it’s really like to surf one of the sketchiest spots in the Gulf.
Conditions were fun but sketchy, with razor-shallow reef just inches beneath us. No barrels here — just clean drops, tight turns, and constant awareness of the sharp bottom.
The session ended abruptly when someone drowned nearby (not a surfer), and the authorities shut the spot down. Heavy reminder that even when the surf’s pumping, things can turn serious fast.
