Climbing Angola's Highest Mountain (Morro do Moco)

Описание: Join us as we embark on a two day mission to climb Angola's highest mountain: Morro do Moco (Mount Moco), located high up on the Bié Plateau in Huambo Province. Morro do Moco is 2620m high and can be trekked up in 2.5 to 3 hours, starting from Kanjonde village: https://goo.gl/maps/h7AHyhaSB6gpGn418. The entire trek is just over 14km.

You do not need any specialist equipment to climb Morro do Moco. Note that this is a sacred site to the local population, so you need to get permission to climb from the "Soba", a traditional community leader. He will also allocate guides to accompany you.

Be sure to check the weather forecast before you go, as you do not want to get caught up there in a storm!
