Autumn is a magical time to visit Saas Fee, Switzerland! Upon stepping off the bus, I was greeted by stunning scenery—traditional wooden buildings surrounded by snowcapped mountains and vibrant fall colors. My adventure began with a gondola ride through the breathtaking autumn landscapes to Spielboden, where I hiked near the glacier. Unfortunately, the famously friendly marmots were already hibernating. Back in town, I strolled through the charming, car-free Saas-Fee village where, just like in Zermatt, only small electric vehicles are permitted. The village was quiet in October—this is the shoulder season. At the end, let me take you on a tour of Wellness Hostel 4000, my base for two nights in Saas-Fee.
