In this video series, I take an in-depth look at how I play Franz Liszt's La Campanella on piano. This first part covers roughly 1:45 of the piece, up through the end of the 16th triplet section.
In the video, I break down each section, giving tips and suggestions for what I consider to be the hardest parts. I also analyze my own technique, pointing out which aspects of my movements I'm focusing on, and why. A lot of my advice is general, and can be applied to other pieces that involve similar techniques, but some of my advice is also quite detailed/specific. In the latter case, my demonstrations aren't meant to be a prescription for exactly how to play the piece, but rather an example of the sorts of things I'd recommend considering as you work out your own technique. Everyone's hands are different, and there are as many ways to play this piece as there are pianists who play it.

Thanks for watching! Part 2 will cover the next 4 pages (the 32nd note section) and part 3 will cover everything from the piu mosso through the end of the piece.
