Anne Crosby Gaudet plays her piano composition "Dreamcatcher". This mid-intermediate level piano solo captures a special warmth with the Mixolydian mode. Students learn to shape a melody with beautiful expressiveness while keeping a left hand pattern gently pulsing in background. In the second half of the piece the melody moves back and forth between the hands creating an interesting texture. Dreamcatcher is currently listed in the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM Level 4) Piano Syllabus.
