Periodically throughout 2010, the TMB will be uploading some of the best field shows of the 2000s. This is the TMB's rendition of "Hit That" by The Offspring, recorded at the 2003 UCLA vs. USC game.
A product of the bands friendship with USC alumnus Dexter Holland, the Trojans originally recorded an instrumental version of "Hit That" at Hollywood's Jim Henson Studios in August 2003. A 40-piece ensemble of the band laid down the track in a few hours under Dexter's supervision. The TMB then debuted the song publicly at halftime of the UCLA game, two days before the recorded version was released internationally as a B-side on the "Hit That" CD single.
