Originally released in 2004 on Phonique's debut album "Identification" on Steve Bug’s Dessous Recordings, “For The Time Being” became one of the era’s defining vocal house moments: a timeless piece of deep, emotionally resonant club music that helped cement Phonique’s reputation and continues to inspire DJs and producers worldwide.

In 2026 Zatar Music celebrates this legacy with a comprehensive release that gathers the track’s most sought-after remixes and introduces two brand new interpretations. Steve Bug returns to the song that helped shape the Dessous sound, carefully reworking it for today’s floors. Keeping Øye’s wistful vocal at the heart of the production, he shapes a warm, pulsing organ-bass groove, tightens the drums and enhances the low-end weight, creating a version that feels both respectfully rooted in its history and unmistakably contemporary. Rising talent Nobe delivers a fresh reimagining of his own, pushing the track into a deep melodic house direction while preserving the emotional pull that has made the song endure for over two decades.

The collection also brings together the wide range of remixes that have accompanied “For The Time Being” over the years, highlighting how different producers have interpreted its distinctive vocal and melody.
