Our only top split experience before this was GT3-only at Le Man long ago, but now we get the top split experience with prototypes and GT3 for the first time in the new 2.4h series around Imola.
Qualifying went as well as I expected, which is near the bottom of the field, hahaha. But I just wanted to survive... Which we nearly didn't after T1, but the slight damage we got was manageable for the rest of the race, so it wasn't an issue. Pace-wise, I tried to save, but my usual saving would have been too slow, so I had to learn on the fly, quick pace whilst saving, which, honestly, I feel like I did end up managing, as my usual VE advantage happened in this race too.
One thing I was super happy about was how close I was to the other S2 DR cars in terms of best lap time. Shows me I do have the pace and ability to be here, I just need to get it a bit more consistent, and we'll be able to challenge some of the other drivers a bit more. So here's hoping the other 2.4h series races, or the online championships, I can take this knowledge to help in them.
