Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed leaders of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) participating nations on Monday (Sep 1) at the opening of the SCO summit in Tianjin.
Speaking at a round table with leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin and India's Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Xi expressed China's willingness to work with SCO members, who face "increasingly arduous tasks in ensuring security and development."
Xi pledged that China would, over the next three years, provide 10 billion yuan (US$1.4 billion) in development loans and 2 billion yuan in grant assistance to SCO member states this year. More here: https://cna.asia/47WzQrx
