The Waitonga falls are the highest waterfalls of the Tongariro National Park with 39 m. The track itsself is a highlight, especially the part passing through the alpine wetland area. On clear calm days there are fantastic views of Mount Ruapehu with the Rotokawa Pools in front of it.
