The House of Representatives has inaugurated a special committee to investigate the implications of the Finance Act on the 5% user charge mandated under the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Act 2007.
Chairman of the Ad-Hoc committee, Honourable Francis Waive, said the assignment is focused on two key areas: the pre-Act situation, which examines the original revenue template, and the post-Act scenario, which delves into the current regulatory framework following the implementation of the tax act.
