Mental health support app 'HELPIE' – created by students for students.
Mental wellbeing has been a top concern for SK Putrajaya Presint Primary School. Utilising the AHS competition toolkit, teachers and students brainstormed ideas and decided to create an app to support mental wellbeing. Within three months, the project team collated data and resources, interviewed students and teachers and spoke to parents before embarking on the design and coding of the 'HELPIE' app. The app aims to help students be more aware of their stress levels and to understand their feelings and emotions through features such as games, a health survey, stress measurement tool and a health campaign. The team hopes to improve the app and share it with other schools in the future to drive even greater impact.
