When unboxing that microscope (link below), the first thing I noticed was the loose display. Despite that the unit seemed to work fine. What a great opportunity for a repair and teardown video! Thank you so much Andonstar!

After being done with the “repair” I now have an idea why the display was loose in the first place. Getting it into its plastic frame I applied a wee bit too much force, partially destroying the LCD. Ah well, it’s a cautionary tale.
