Though the factory EFI functioned well, there is no room for improvement due to the dire simplicity of the stock ECU. That all changes with Megasquirt. Not only will I be able to tune the system to optimize the engines performance in its current state, but it enables me to reliably upgrade the engine with a turbo, or nitrous if I wanted to.
