Why We Had to Leave Brazil

Leaving Brazil was not easy for us — we didn’t want to leave, but we had to return to the United States so our son could go back to school and to take care of other responsibilities. In this video, we share our flight back, the food we had along the way, and explain why we had to leave.

When we arrive in Ankeny, we first show a little bit of our neighborhood (just near our house) and the exterior of our home. Then, we walk inside for the first time after being away for months. What did it look like after family members cared for it? We share this emotional moment and give you a little tour of the main level.
