I really liked the idea of this game but honestly couldn't get any fun out of it at all. Maybe it's me, maybe I'm the problem! In the Keep Talking game you get pretty clear clues for each of the puzzles and off you go - the only enemy is time - but in this one it's kind of like, David's just there with the manual, and if there's important stuff I'm supposed to be telling him - I ain't seeing it.
In fact this video is so annoying for me to look at, it's another one I nearly didn't upload, but it's been sitting there for months with the others so it's going up. Besides, what other YouTubas are going to sing you Phantom of the Opera this weekend? I didn't think so!
12 David eating ... what is it, bakelite or something? I want to say it's licorice but I've known the guy since 1990 and haven't ever really known him to go for the stuff.
43 Scotty thinks he's found a fire extinguisher
50 Scotty realises the game isn't made for seated VR and there's not a dang thing he can do about it
30 Scotty has a Polaroid moment of inspiration
49 Followed by David discussing phantom limb syndrome, which leads into us intermittently talking about Phantom of the Opera for the rest of the video
22 I wasn't kidding!
37 Another mic clunk - also, as a general note, the FOV of the whole VR portion of this video is absolutely useless. I can't tell you if that's just because of the way the screen gets mirrored or if the game was actually that claustrophobic. Again - I nearly didn't upload this dreck
32 Silently, the senses!
15 We've ditched the VR and switched to David's Musical Reviews!
20 David isn't worried about mixing up the West End and East End
Also, as a note from the editor - when I was working on this batch of videos, my Premiere ground to an absolute HALT and renders took like 10 hours for each video. I still don't know why that is, but as a result a lot of the edits are a bit schizo because I wasn't able to watch them for smoothness or pacing. In other words, I've lost my touch and David will be the editor from now on
26 Scotty rants about the old reviewing system we used to have on here
50 We blow the lid on Neil Diamond's famous song about the Sinking of the Titanic
38 One for the David Soundboard
55 The John Lennon Space Program! Followed by a very insightful chat on the upcoming FOUR Beatles Movies (which are going to be awful, you can take that to the bank)
