Traditional Vegetable Garden in a cottage garden has always had a mixture of vegetables, herbs, and flowers mixed in what appears a haphazard mix. In reality, many of these plants self-seeded and were simply allowed to grow in their naturally selected positions. Organic gardening was the only choice here.
This video was shot in Norfolk in a heritage plot where the owner has tried to re-create the 19th-century cottage or potager garden using traditional plantings. Flowers mingle side by side with herbs roses and salad crops, root vegetable beans, and soft fruit grow side by side.
