If you're interested in using an online legal service, it's usually because you're looking to make a document or even trademark something with the cost of hiring an attorney. Well, for one of our clients, she found that shortcut caused her more harm than good. She tried to register a trademark name for a series of books she was creating and the legal service did this assignment incorrectly. The trademark office rejected her patent and when she tried to do it later, the name was taken.
