Oh, distant land, my dear homeland, my soul longs for you, because it craves the sun, the azure sky, it wants to be delighted with your sight. Oranges, roses and vines, dense as a wall, blossom there; there, in all the nature, lives the beauty, in the violet of the sea, in the green of the mountains! Oh, my beloved country, oh, my proud, dear country!
