I had an appointment today with my GP, to discuss the recent and ongoing issues with my CMT disease. She has made several referrals, and listened to everything I had to say. I felt like I was mentioning too many “issues“, but she was willing to listen to all of it, and didn’t just refer me to neurology to make the appointment quicker. I wish all GPs were like this. I’ve had many in the past where they have simply made a quick referral to get their job over and done with, and then I have seen the neurologist for example, only to be told, That whatever problem I am discussing is due to CMT – well obviously! But that’s always where their help stops. This time it seems to be that even the GP has listened to me which is breath of fresh air!
