Описание: Women's reservation bill has been passed in Lok Sabha with 454 votes in favour. Two Parliamentarians have voted against the motion in Lok Sabha, House Speaker Om Birla said.

The bill, named Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. It will come into effect only after a delimitation exercise is completed and is therefore unlikely to be in force during the next Lok Sabha election in 2024.
