Описание: A deadly ambush in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district has triggered fresh tension across the hill regions. Armed militants attacked a convoy of church leaders travelling from Churachandpur to Kangpokpi via Tiger Road near Kotlen on Wednesday morning.

Three church leaders were killed and several others were injured in the firing incident. The victims were reportedly associated with the Thadou Baptist Association and the United Baptist Council and were involved in peace and reconciliation initiatives between local communities.

The injured were rushed to a nearby Assam Rifles medical facility for treatment. Following the attack, anger and grief erupted in Churachandpur, with shutdowns, deserted streets, and heightened security across sensitive areas.
