In this lesson, Aaron Conley teaches the importance of quickly sketching out both full character shots and detailed backgrounds to set the tone and context in a comic page. He points out how including full body shots of characters like Wolverine and comprehensive backgrounds can really improve the storytelling in comics. Aaron also talks about the role of backgrounds in creating mood and atmosphere and he mentions how close-ups and action shots can make the storytelling more dynamic. Aaron discusses the nine-panel grid layout too, showing how it's useful for both learning and professional comic creation.
