The grey/black color scheme of our tester is a subdued, but sophisticated choice. You may also use red and black for a little additional visual interest. The amount of space and storage available up front is impressive, with spacious door bins and a plethora of incidental storage alternatives. Aside from that, there are two cupholders, albeit the wireless phone charger is too tiny to accommodate a big phone when linked to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto through a cable.

The optional panoramic sunroof on our tester's vehicle lets in plenty of natural light, which contributes to the overall sense of spaciousness and airiness. In the second row, despite the fact that this is a high-end sedan, the word "tiny" is used often. The Mercedes-Benz A250 4MATIC Sedan sloping roofline isn't nearly as coupe-like as the CLA's, yet even someone as tall as me (six foot one and a half) had trouble fitting behind the steering wheel.

As a result of the aforementioned roofline, there is insufficient headroom for tall people, and there is also insufficient knee space for lanky individuals like me. As a result, the back is best reserved for smaller friends, family members, and children. In the rear, though, there are a fair number of facilities available for those who qualify. Air vents and USB-C charging ports, as well as map pockets on the front seatbacks, bottle storage in the doors, and a fold-down center armrest with cupholders, are prominent features.

Under the bootlid, there is a spacious 430-liter baggage compartment. Because the run-flat tyres eliminate the need for even a space-saver, there is no spare beneath the boot floor... at least in principle. Engine output for the A250 variants comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 165kW at 5500rpm and 350Nm at 1800rpm. For a little engine in a small vehicle, the outputs are respectable.

These outputs are routed to a 4Matic all-wheel drive system with a front-biased differential via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Mercedes-Benz A250 4MATIC Sedan claims a 0-100 sprint time of 6.2 seconds and a combined fuel consumption of 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers traveled. During our week in the vehicle, we witnessed eights and nines with a mixture of driving that was weighted toward city driving. Using 95RON premium unleaded is the very minimum need for the A250 4Matic, and the fuel tank holds 51 litres.

Mercedes-Benz A250 4MATIC Sedan MFA front-drive design made its premiere with the A-Class, and it has subsequently been implemented throughout the company's other small model lines. In order to place a greater emphasis on driver engagement, the current generation has been lengthened, lowered, and broadened relative to the previous model. In sedan form, the current generation has a drag coefficient of 0.22, which at launch was claimed to be the "lowest of all production vehicles worldwide."

As soon as you begin going, it definitely has the appearance of a more sports model. The low driving position contributes to the A250's feeling of being hunkered down on the road. It's firmly placed, poised, and eager to spin in whichever direction you direct it. The performance of the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is rather impressive, almost hot-hatch-like. At 1800rpm, there's 350Nm of torque on tap, allowing for smooth acceleration around town, but it does run out of steam at the high end.
