I Found a Korean Bowl at a Store with No Website… And It’s Incredible!

The Worst Food Review Channel on YouTube. A viewer told me there was a Korean pork bowl hiding inside J&D Variety in Ailsa Craig — a small-town variety store with no website, no socials, no menu, nothing online at all. Just a sign that says “Movies, Sub Sandwiches”… and apparently a bowl that hits way harder than it should.
So I drove out to Ailsa Craig to see if this thing was real.
Inside a classic rural variety store — shelves, snacks, fluorescent lights — they handed me a steaming bowl loaded with rice and marinated pork. No branding. No hype. Just real food in a place that doesn’t even show up online. This is exactly what Dave Eats is about: real places, real people, real surprises.
After that, I planned to swing over to Fire Flame… except it wasn’t there anymore. Gone. So I headed back into London and made an accidental stop at Unicorn Tea House — a bright, colourful bubble tea shop at 746 Richmond Street with a huge drink lineup, desserts, and a 4.8★ rating. Totally unplanned, but a fun way to wrap up the day.
Two stops. One day. One viewer tip that turned into a full segment.
