Chef Heinz Reitbauer Jr. is the head chef at restaurant Steirereck in Vienna, Austria. Reitbauer used to work for Alain Chapel, Anton Mosimann and Joël Robuchon before achieving worldwide fame with his own restaurant Steirereck in Vienna. Reitbauer’s Steirereck currently holds two Michelin stars as well as 19/20 Gault Millau points and sits at the No. 12 spot on The World’s Best Restaurants list.Reitbauer serves modern, highly original Austrian fare at Steirereck and is widely regarded as one of Austria’s best and most forward-thinking chefs.
Additionally Steirereck features a fantastic wine cellar which is being curated by René Antrag, one of Austria’s leading sommeliers.
Steirereck houses a second restaurant called Meierei im Stadtpark which focuses on more traditional Austrian cuisine like Schnitzel, Goulash, Beuscherl, Kaiserschmarrn and the like.
Steirereck is located in Vienna’s Stadtpark and boasts spectacular architecture by renowned PPAG architects.
