💟💕 Tradescantia pallida or purple heart is a species of spiderwort more commonly known as wandering jew or walking jew, a name it shares with the closely related species T. fluminensis and T. zebrina. Other common names include purple secretia, purple-heart, and purple queen. It is native to the Gulf Coast region of eastern Mexico.
💟How to propagate tradescantia pallida or 💜 purple heart?
💟 Plants are easily propagated by taking cuttings from any part of the plant – just shove a node into the soil or potting mix and it will usually root (or place in water until roots develop)
💟 Purple heart cuttings can be quite simply placed into moist soil, like geranium cuttings, or one can root them in water first and then carefully plant, you decide!
💟 Propagating cuttings is as simple as sticking them directly in moist garden or potting soil, and keeping them moist until you see signs of new growth. Take cuttings from indoor purple heart plants whenever it is actively growing and from outdoor plants in the spring or summer.
💗🤍Thank you for watching! Enjoy and happy gardening!💓💟🥰
