Did you know the Catholic Church once gave the green light to kidnap, rape, and enslave millions of Black people?
In 1452, Pope Nicholas V signed Dum Diversus, a decree giving Spain and Portugal divine permission to invade Africa, chain our people, and claim them as property.
This one stroke of a pen set the stage for centuries of violence:
— Men beaten until their backs split open
— Women raped as priests preached over their pain
— Children learning their first words in chains
It was not greed alone — it was doctrine. A holy war against Black flesh disguised as salvation.
For centuries, the world called it “civilization.” But our ancestors knew the truth: it was genocide in the name of Christ.
Even today, their blood cries out across the Atlantic.
Every wave carries their story.
And every whisper says: Never forget.
💬 Comment “Never Forget” if you honor the memory of those stolen souls.
