Waterproofing Shower for Tile Walls | Durock Cement Board

Описание: Quick waterproofing for shower walls. This is just the way I've always done it. Whether using Hardie board or Durock cement board, it doesn’t matter. Same with the membrane, whether RedGard, AquaDefense, or the stuff I used in this video (it was on sale haha).

Note: I sealed the joints with fiber mesh tape, then thinset, but I’ve heard you can use just mesh tape and liquid membrane if your joints are tight.

This isn’t a full tutorial, just a fast paced look at the process from board installation to fully waterproofing. I skip over the plumbing in this video, but I highly recommend replacing old valves before installing waterproofing or starting a tile shower project.
