What We Built
Using the 3D CAD/BIM digital twin created earlier, we implemented an agent-based crowd and evacuation simulation.

We modeled:

• 2,000 concurrent visitors
• Real entry and exit points
• Stall blocks as obstacles
• Pathfinding on a 1m navigation grid
• Congestion-aware routing

Then we triggered an emergency scenario.

The Results
• Total evacuation time: 58 seconds
• 90th percentile evacuation: 39 seconds
• Exit load imbalance detected
• Gates 2, 3, 5, 6 handled 68% of traffic
• Gates 1 and 4 were underutilized

This immediately answers three real-world problems:

Are 6 exits sufficient for 2,000 visitors?
Which gates will overload?

Directional signage adjustments can redistribute load.

2️⃣ Emergency Planning & Compliance

Do evacuation times meet safety thresholds?
Can this data be presented to fire safety authorities or insurers?

Now the answer is quantitative not hypothetical.

3️⃣ Stall Layout Optimization

Where do bottlenecks form?
Should corridors near exits be widened?

The density heatmap reveals exactly where congestion builds.

Layouts can be re-simulated and compared in minutes.
