Let's get right to it:

A SPAC is a shell company that does nothing and owns nothing, formed by a number of investors, typically hedge funds. In this case it's Bill Ackman's fund ticker symbol PSTH. The company is Pershing Square Tontine Holdings.

They take the shell company public and raise more cash, then hunt around for a private company to acquire in a "reverse merger". You can buy shares in the shell company at this point, but it's not a real business, it's just a pile of cash. Once the find a deal, they absorb that company and you become a shareholder in the new entity. If no deal is found, they liquidate and shareholders split the pile of cash.

PSTH SPAC Stock is the highest cash value SPAC stock at $4b potentially reaching $7b after merger announcement. There's a lot of interesting aspects of Bill Ackman's stock from it's value, warrant structure, and tontine opportunity.

PSTH is the single largest SPAC in existence, headed up by William Ackman. It was 4$B in cash when it launched at $20. Now at $25 it's worth $5B. Once a target is found, Ackman has the option to put in another $3B, for a total of $7B.

There are a lot of possibilities in the rumor mill regarding potential targets, including Stripe, chick-fil-a, SpaceX and even TikTok (ByteDance). But Ackman has said his target range is 10-15B. If true, that's would put him in in a different range. Maybe Robinhood?
