How to build a super efficient DIY dust collector system... using science?
We always build our dust collection system putting together some piping, and hook it up to the tools.
But air flow is something that has always been studied in engineering, so let's borrow some tricks from engineering and science to avoid pressure loss and to keep the most efficient dust collection system ever!
In this video we'll:
how to choose the best diameter
what's the best air speed we want to keep
what's the best position for the dust collector
and more...
Nothing is created
Nothing is destroyed
Everything is transformed... into sawdust!
Every power tool or machine in the shop is a source of sawdust. Sawdust is the maker glitter, but #sawdustkills. It's proven to cause cancer.
So our mission should be to collect the dust before it spreads everywhere and before it reaches our lungs. #safetyfirst
Sawdust is proven to cause cancer, so better to collect it right at the source (table saw, jointer, planer, router, ...), before it spreads.
