Our toddler, Tessie, was diagnosed with central apnea at 6 months old, and since then she has undergone regular sleep studies to confirm that diagnosis for our insurance. In October of 2017 she had a good sleep study, which put her monitor in danger and terrified us, because we were still seeing a huge amount of central apneas at home. Our pediatrician convinced the pulmonologists to do one more sleep study and she was hypoxic all night long. However, in spring she had another good sleep study and pulmonology said she was done with monitoring (although her doctor continued to prescribe her monitor and somehow we've been able to keep it, and it's continued to alarm with apneas regularly and we've continued to witness both apneas and desats, as low as into the 70s and 60s). That changed when the exome testing showed a gene that could cause ventilation issues, which is why she was sent back again, for another sleep study and we got the call a few days ago that they had an opening for an earlier study than the mid week study we had coming up in December.

Welcome to Someday I'll Sleep, formerly Coffee and Cupcakes! We post family vlogs daily, about our lives and because we have two daughters on the spectrum we post quite a bit about autism! You'll get glimpses of what's going on at the moment in our lives, usually in a little town in Michigan, or in the city that Paul works in and where we have about a million therapy sessions each week.
Paul and Cammie (the dad and mom at Coffee and Cupcakes) have 5 children. Sadie is 10, Maggie is 8, Patrick is 5, James is 3, and Tessie is now 2!

If you'd like to help us translate and transcribe our videos we would appreciate it so very much! With 5 kids and lots of therapy appointments Cammie doesn't have very much time left over after she finishes editing videos so transcribing is slow going around here! http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_p...
