Casio G-Shock DW-9052 Review and Overview | An unsung legend in Casio’s history!

Описание: In this video, I review and go over the Casio G-Shock DW-9052. This is episode 2 of my G-Shock series called Forgotten Gs, where I go and look back through Casio’s older G-Shock models and review ones that I think are hidden masterpieces that are not mentioned enough for how special they are. In this review, I am talking about the Casio G-Shock DW-9052. I talk about its overall design and how it connects to the classic GW-5000 square, DW-6900 with its D-shaped crystal and cyclops complication in the modular. I call out some of the design DNA like the bulges at the top and bottom of the bezel like the GW-5610 and DW-5900. Also, there are metal rivets for a tough design. Also, the dedicated light button on the bottom of the crystal like the 6900 has. Next, it has much larger 4 main buttons that are guarded by the bezel. The strap that looks similar to the original one on the square, but has a big difference where the strap is loose and drapes straight down like a normal watch strap. I go over its feature-packed module with complications of alarm, stopwatch, and timer. Also, the ability to tell the time while the timer and stopwatch is in use. I talk about the way it wears on the wrist and its overall build quality. Another part that adds to the cool factor is that the DW-9052 has an official NATO stock number (NSN). This means this watch has been tested and certified by the US military and NATO due to its reliability. So much so that this watch was given to the US Navy Seals during BUDS training. Overall, this has a blend of many different G-Shock design queues and is a great G-Shock design from the “golden years” of when G-Shock was in its first stride. A watch with a unique personality, ultimate durability, extreme functionality, and vehement value makes the DW-9052 a fantastic choice for the forgotten G that needs to be more widely known by Casio and G-Shock enthusiasts.
