This quick and easy Holige are made with condensed milk and whole wheat flour. Thengai Poli is a stuffed poli with amazing taste, wherein the outer layer is MADE of healthy wheat flour. The inside filling or puran is made from Nestle Milkmaid and fresh coconut. Polelu/Bakshalu are specially prepared in both Andhra and Telangana States and also in other SOUTH INDAN states during Bhogi and Makara SANKRANTRI festival OR PONGAL and also during Ugadi/Gudi Padwa. Other names of this COCONUT PURAN POLI are Bakshalu, Obbattlu, Oligalu, Sweet Puran Poli, Tel Poli, etc. Indian Sweets are generally loaded with calories. But this Coconut Sweet Poli is LITTLE LESS IN CALORIES as it is made with Whole WHEAT FLOUR like Aashirwad atta, Pilsbury, or mill ground atta.
