Many electronic products, such as phones, tablets, e-bikes and e-scooters, contain lithium-ion batteries.
If these batteries, or products containing these batteries, are thrown into the bin, they get compressed and crushed during waste collection, and can spark fires, putting lives at risk.
Please Canberra, don't throw any types of batteries, or chargeable products, into the bin.
