Sometimes the ride isn’t about getting somewhere—it’s about finding something you lost. On this trip, I take the Honda CRF300L from George to Dysseldorp via Montagu Pass, retracing the route of a slide-out I had earlier and hoping to find the number plate that went missing that day.
The pass is rough, carved up by rain and rocks, and every corner feels like it could be hiding what I’m looking for. Spoiler: it wasn’t my lucky day… but the story didn’t end here.
