In nature, in the wild, older lions get pushed out through territory fights, and the old gets left alone. Such is nature, and the cycle of life.

The territory battle for the oldest lion in the kruger national park, at age 14, was too much.

Old father lubeylubey succumbed due to his injuries sustained in this battle, and he was left by his coalition memebers.

A time I will never forget, was finding him right at the battle for lion territory, in a poor physical state.
