Описание: "Jay wants to raise awareness about long Covid and that it is affecting kids too.

Jay first had Covid Jan '22 with abdominal pain, gastrointestinal difficulties, fatigue, peeling hands, rashes, sweats etc. There was a long wait on the NHS so we saw a private paediatric gastroenterologist who said it was post Covid inflammation. Jay started lansoprazole and coenzyme q10 and had a month of bowel rest.

He tried to go in to school just to do his SATS and managed 50% attendance. He got much better by August and was able to go back to boxing, and football started in year 7. He caught up with school work and was doing really well, but then he had a throat infection in January. He was treated with antibiotics but 1 week later Jay could not walk, had intense fatigue and night sweats.

This continued and the fatigue is much worse than before. He’s crawling around the house and he needs help to use the bathroom and dress. Jay is trying to do some school work remotely but he is very upset he is missing school again.

We've been to A&E twice since January but it was unhelpful so we sought out Dr Weir who will hopefully doing a prescription for clopidogrel. We also paid for a private physio just to help Jay with some daily tasks (obviously not graded exercise as his PEM is quite severe after both mental and physical tasks)

Jay is usually so active and was boxing again and so happy. It’s very frustrating for him especially as the Doctors we have seen on the NHS do not know much about it. The lack of curiosity is astounding. "
