At the beginning, 2 incisions were made in the bark of the branch at a distance of about 5 cm. Then we lightly scratched the cambium to stop the circulation of juices down to the roots.
Instead of rooting hormone, we put honey mainly in the upper section where the rooting will start
The placement and stabilization of the pot was done with adhesive tapes and supports from branches.
Filling the pot with light potting soil was done after placing a layer of cotton in the bottom of the pot.
This was followed by watering and re-stabilization.
Propagation in the cornus mas (cornelian cherry) was done by scraping a branch in the soil which was more successful. (Vathi Kilkis October 1, 2023)
