On our drive home from Oregon, we decided to stop for a day in Yellowstone National Park to help break up the long trip. Visiting in November meant many roads and attractions were closed for the season, but we made the most of what was open — and honestly, the quiet beauty was worth it.
We explored a few waterfalls, took a short hike, spotted buffalo and other wildlife, visited Manitou Hot Springs, and even checked out a petrified tree. With fewer people around, Yellowstone felt calm, wild, and incredibly peaceful.
This wasn’t a perfectly planned trip — just a family adventure, slowing down, enjoying nature, and making memories together. If you’ve ever wondered what Yellowstone is like in the off-season, this video shows the beauty of experiencing the park without the crowds.
