I’m so excited to show this! Rose learned the button faster than any other animal I’ve taught. It only took a few button presses before something clicked, and she started pressing it herself.

Norma and Rose live at a vegan sanctuary, Goats With Horns. Many animals here came from the meat, egg, and dairy industries, where they were treated terribly.

Goats With Horns believes animals deserve to be free just like humans. We don’t use or sell any of the animals' products, and we simply let them enjoy life. Animals at the sanctuary can live full lives without fearing being killed.

Norma and I have been communicating with a form of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) for the past nine months. She presses sound buttons on the wall to talk to me: she communicates what she's feeling and what she wants. I was inspired by channels like Hunger 4 Words, Billi Speaks, and What About Bunny. Norma has seven words at the moment: food, outside, brush, play, all done, more, and calm. Her favorite word is food!
