“Historymakers” are Arizonans who have made lasting contributions to Arizona by distinguishing themselves in diverse areas, including education, business, public service, sports, architecture and the arts.
Relive the moments when three Navajo Code Talkers accepted the honor of Arizona Historymaker at the Historymakers Gala. Hear the words of Albert Smith, Keith Little, and Joe Kellwood as they spoke to the audience at the 2005 Historymakers Gala along a heartfelt presentation by Joe Kellwood singing the Marine Hymn in Navajo.
Representing the Navajo Code Talkers at the evening event is Peterson Zah, President of the Navajo Nation.
