Hungary PM Orban on EU's Russian gas ban and his controversial racist remarks during Austria tour

Chancellor Nehammer called EU embargo on Russian gas 'impossible' criticizing the slowness in creating a joint energy purchase mechanism.

This attitude echoed with Hungary that is 85% dependent on Russian gas and strongly disagrees with sanctions on Russia.

Faced with criticism of “Nazi ideology”, Orban defended his comments saying they represented a "cultural, civilizational standpoint".
