Protect your cylinders from dings, scrapes, or even a puncture by installing Touratech Cylinder Head Guards for the R1250GS or GSA. The exposed cylinders are a known vulnerability on the modern boxer motor because they hit the ground when the bike tips over. Touratech aluminum cylinder head guards offer a light-weight and attractive solution that protects the bike while staying low-profile on the cylinder.

We have two versions available! You can choose between a heavy-duty 2mm thick stainless steel version or a lightweight 3mm thick anodized aluminum option. Both versions of these guards install quickly and easily to existing mounting points on your 1250GS engine. The styling of these guards follows the original lines of the BMW and they are available in stainless steel, silver anodized, or black anodized finishes.

If you want simple and lightweight protection for your R1250GS valve covers and cylinder heads, these guards from Touratech are a great protection option. For maximum protection, the Cylinder Head Guards guards can be used in combination with crash bars. Please see fitment notes below for using with Touratech and BMW OEM crash bars.

Notes when installing with crash bars: This spacer kit 037-5169 is required to use this product with Touratech Engine Crash Bars. To install this product on a GS Adventure model or a GS with OEM BMW Lower Crash Bars, you will need to remove the rubber pad from the crash bars prior to mounting.
