In this video, we change the fluid in a New Process Gear/New Venture Gear model 242 transfer case. The process for other models, such as the 231, should be very similar. This particular transfer case was installed in a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ).
This unit calls for ATF+4 automatic transmission fluid - just over 1 quart.
